- Platkin mentions that 510 Claremont Avenue was included in the environmental impact statement to analyze feasibility for future redevelopment.
- She notes that the site is large and involves a sensitive population (associated with New York City Public Schools), making planning more complex.
- HPD is working with New York City Public Schools and SCA to assess the feasibility of relocation and engage in public outreach.

Let me just rephrase.
0:47:43
Those are all sites that you're already working on that you've mentioned in your testimony.
0:47:48
I'm asking about additional sites that have been identified as city owned property that have not yet been committed to by the administration.
0:47:56
Can you share details on where things are with those?
Sarit Platkin
0:47:59
Absolutely.
0:48:00
Thank you.
0:48:00
So I think you mentioned 510 Claremont before, happy to discuss that.
0:48:04
So you know this is a site that of course the council, you and council member Osei have expressed you know strong interest in seeing redeveloped.
0:48:12
In response to that request we included that site in the environmental impact statement to analyze feasibility which would allow us to streamline that site for future redevelopment.
0:48:21
So we've been you know proactively taking those steps.
0:48:24
It's not being rezoned but that does clear the way for potential future redevelopment.
0:48:29
I think in addition to that would you know note that we are working with New York City Public Schools.
0:48:35
This is you know a large site.
0:48:38
It also has a sensitive population.
0:48:41
Given those factors it's much more challenging and more complex to plan for redevelopment than some of the other sites that we mentioned before.
0:48:48
That means that it's taking kind of a more deliberate approach but we are taking those steps, working with New York City Public Schools to you know assess the feasibility of relocation here as well as with SCA.
0:49:01
So we're assessing the feasibility of relocation, that's kind of like the primary focus right now and then also look forward to the engagement that I know you all have been doing with New York City public schools and you know the public outreach that's planned to really make sure that we are sharing a vision with public stakeholders, local communities and understand how local residents think that this might affect them as well.
